No matter who you voted for, or who won, this election was a historic event. Either we would have the first black president of the first female vice-president.
As I went to work, stores, and other places around town today, everyone knew how important this election was. What a historic day.
So many people today were very excited. They never thought we would see the day when we would finally have the first african-american president (I work with a few older women). This is a giant step in our country to break free of the past.
Now, I do have to say- when we had the first possible mormon, first possible woman, and first possible black presidential candidates last year, I think I had a great way to take care of it all in one shot....elect Gladys Knight.
