Primary Program

Sunday was the primary program in our ward. Each child, for one of their parts, got up to the mic and said "My name is ____, I am a child of God." In between different classes they would sing one verse of the song I am a Child of God.
What a sweet and simple truth. I loved working in the primary in my old ward because the truths we teach them are so sweet and simple but the most important things a person can know. As Pam tells her twin brother in the movie Saturday's Warrior...freedom is knowing who you are, and when you know who you are that is when you can truly be happy.
I know that we are all children of our Heavenly Father. He knows and loves all of us and has a plan for each one of us. I am so grateful to have that knowledge. I can not imagine going through this life not knowing that I am a child of God. I think this is one of the most important truths a person can have a testimony of. Once you truly understand that you are a child of God and what that means, it changes your entire outlook on life. It changes everything you feel and know. I hope everyone of you knows that you are a son or daughter of Heavenly Father. You have a purpose in this life. He loves you and wants you to live your life so you may return home to Him.
I love Primary Programs. They always focus on the most important gospel principles. The truths that make up the foundation of a testimony of the Gospel.
I really miss working in the primary. I look forward to whatever calling the Lord chooses to give us, whenever that may be, in our new ward.
My name is Becca, I am a child of God.
